Planning to go to Clio Cloud Conference 2022 in Nashville? I think I speak for everyone when I say good riddance to virtual conferences. I know companies tried their best to make them fun, but they weren’t. This year marks the first in-person Clio Con since San Diego 2019.
For those that don’t know, the Clio Cloud Conference is the largest lawyer conference in the world. This year it is being held on October 10 – 11, 2022 in Nashville, TN.

It’s important to note that you can earn CLE credits for attending the conference. I would also recommend attending if you are a paralegal, law student, or in the legal tech industry. As a legal tech CEO, I made amazing connections at Clio Con 2019 that led to massive growth in my company. I was even able to find investors.
There are a number of good reasons to attend this year’s conference in Nashville:
- To explore Nashville and southern culture
- There will be thousands of attorneys there that you can network with and set up referral arrangements with
- Go over the Legal Trend Report with experts (during their talks.) Use these statistics to improve your law firm.
- Get CLE credits
- There are workshops led by experts who can help you plan the growth of your law firm
- Go over any legal tech questions you have with tech experts
- There are daily yoga and fitness sessions
- It’s going to be a lot of fun

Photo: A whole bunch of lawyers getting ready for the next talk. There are normally around three talks going on in different rooms. You can pick if you want to learn more about legal tech, accounting, practice management … etc. I had to be selective with which talks I went to, which was hard.

After Hours Events
I think that most people would agree that the “After Hours” events are the best part of Clio Con. Because it’s in Nashville TN this year, the lawyer conference seems to have a country theme going for it.
There are two main after-hours events, and some side events (normally steak dinners hosted by conference sponsors.)

Photo: Glenn Greenwald, who helped Edward Snowden illegally share secret information with the world endangering many. Zero points on the moral side of things, but was still interesting to hear his story. I read his book too, as I was interested in the secrets he put online.

Jack Newton, Rian Gauvreau, and George Psiharis turned Clio into a company worth around two billion. It’s inspiring to hear their stories and learn from them.
To end off with, check out this Clio ad below, it’s one of the best legal industry ads I’ve ever seen. Clio provides practice software to law firms, which should give the advertisement some context.
