Newmarket triage court may rush justice
Toronto criminal lawyer J.S. Vijaya tells the Toronto Star, in a story about Newmarket’s triage court set up to cut unnecessary appearances, that a concern is the proximity of the plea court encourages more plea bargains earlier in the process, sometimes without legal advice or disclosure.
