Jurors told to look at wording of perjury charge



The judge overseeing the Toronto Police corruption trial has told the jury they should only convict Det-Const. Joe Miched of perjury if the Crown has proved that “in the way defined in the indictment” he lied under oath.

Toronto criminal lawyer Peter Brauti told jurors the Crown has charged his client with an inapplicable perjury charge for 10 years because it is worded wrongly.
