Vijaya “thrilled” the OCA overturned murder conviction
Toronto criminal lawyer J.S. Vijaya tells the Toronto Star he’s “thrilled beyond measure” with an Ontario Court of Appeal decision overturning the first-degree murder convictions of two men because of the trial judge’s instructions to a deadlocked jury.
The province’s top court has ordered a new trial for Anthony Grant and Devon Vivian, who was Vijaya’s client at trial. Read OCA Judgment
